In future, collection will be more targeted at selected recycling centers. The change is being made for economic reasons.
Non-packaging plastics include watering cans, laundry baskets, bobby cars, garden furniture and household buckets. Important: Packaging plastics, such as paint buckets, canisters or large food containers, are not included and should be emptied and placed in the yellow bag. Small plastic items that fit into the residual waste container (e.g. food storage boxes, measuring cups or small toys) should continue to be disposed of in the residual waste. If the volume of the residual waste container is not sufficient, it is possible to purchase additional residual waste bags from the respective municipality.
From January 2026, special NVPK containers will be available at the following recycling centers: Adelshofen, Bechhofen, Burgoberbach, Dietenhofen, Dinkelsbühl, Feuchtwangen, Herrieden, Heilsbronn, Lehrberg, Lichtenau, Neuendettelsau, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Sachsen bei Ansbach, Schillingsfürst and Wassertrüdingen. Up to two cubic meters of NPPC can be handed in at these locations. Alternatively, if you only want to dispose of a single item, you can do so at a recycling center with a bulky waste container.
Plastics from construction and demolition work (e.g. PVC pipes or windows), films, packaging plastics or drums with poison or hazard symbols such as spray canisters are not accepted. Quantities over two cubic meters may also not be disposed of. These materials must be disposed of via a certified waste disposal company.
The adjustment of the collection structure is intended to ensure an economically viable and decentralized disposal solution. The district of Ansbach asks all citizens for their understanding and compliance with the changed regulations.
