Regional budget 2026

The ILE association Altmühlland A6 intends to apply to the Office for Rural Development (ALE) of Middle Franconia for funding of a regional budget of EUR 75,000 for the year 2026 in accordance with the Financing Guidelines for Rural Development (FinR-LE). If approved by the ALE, funding will be provided in accordance with the provisions of measure 9.0 Regional budget in funding area 1 "Integrated Rural Development" (ILE) of the framework plan of the joint task "Improvement of agricultural structures and coastal protection" (GAK) in the currently valid version.

The ILE association Altmühlland A6 calls for the submission of funding applications for small projects within the framework of the regional budget, subject to approval by the ALE and taking into account the following conditions.

This call for proposals only includes requests for funding for small-scale projects that take into account
- the objectives of equivalent living conditions, including accessible basic services, attractive and vibrant town centers and the elimination of vacant buildings,
- the objectives and requirements of spatial and regional planning,
- nature conservation, environmental and climate protection,
- adaptation to climate change,
- reducing land take,
- demographic development and
- digitalization
pursue the purpose of securing and further developing rural areas as places to live, work, recreate and enjoy nature.

Small projects are projects whose total eligible costs do not exceed EUR 20,000. It should be noted that all eligible expenditure of a project that fulfills the purpose of the funding may not exceed this maximum limit. Otherwise, a project can no longer be classified as a small project. Only one application can be submitted per project in one call. Projects may not be split in order to fall below the total eligible expenditure.

Prerequisites: Funding is only available for small projects for which implementation has not yet begun. In principle, the start of the measure is deemed to be the submission of a binding declaration of intent to conclude a supply and service contract attributable to the implementation or the purchase of materials for the measure applied for.
In the case of projects for the promotion of economic activities, the provisions of the EU
on de minimis aid for the commercial sector must be observed.

Object of funding: Eligible for funding are, for example, small projects for
a) Support for civic engagement,
b) Support for change processes at local level,
c) Communication and public relations,
d) Improving the living conditions of the rural population,
e) Implementation of infrastructure measures adapted to the rural character,
f) Securing and improving basic services for the rural population.

The small-scale project must be implemented in good time so that proof of implementation can be submitted by 01.10.2026 at the latest.

Beneficiaries and applicants:
a) Legal entities under public and private law,
b) Natural persons and partnerships.

Type and scope of funding: The grant is awarded as a subsidy by way of pro rata financing. The eligible costs actually incurred less price reductions (discounts, bonuses and rebates) are subsidized by up to 75%, up to a maximum of EUR 7,500 and taking into account the maximum grant specified in the private-law contract (see below). If VAT is deductible as input tax in accordance with Section 15 UstG, it is not eligible expenditure. Small projects with a grant requirement of less than EUR 500 will not be funded.

The simultaneous use of grants from other funding programs is permitted, provided this is not excluded there. Grants and non-cash benefits from third parties only lead to a reduction in the grant from the regional budget if the sum of all funds exceeds the total eligible costs. Additional funding via the Rural Development Financing Guidelines (FinR-LE) or the Village Renewal
Guidelines for the Implementation of the Bavarian Village Development Program (DorfR) is not permitted. It is not possible to combine the funding options of the regional budget and the "eco-project framework" of an eco-model region.

There is no entitlement to a grant. The grant is not transferable to third parties.

Application and selection procedure: The regional budget can be used to carry out small projects that serve to implement the integrated rural development concept and are located in the area of the ILE association. Small projects are selected by a decision-making committee made up of representatives of regional stakeholders.

Project selection criteria:

All project applications submitted are checked for compliance with the funding requirements and evaluated on the basis of the above selection criteria. The evaluation of all projects determines the order of projects to be supported within the available regional budget.

Following a positive selection decision, a contract under private law is concluded between the ILE association Altmühlland A6 and the sponsor of the selected small project, in which the implementation modalities are regulated.

Deadlines: - Submission of funding applications no later than: 24.11.2025
- Latest date for settlement with the responsible body of the ILE association (submission of proof of implementation): 01.10.2026
