Water, ice and debris flow hazards; information on municipal obligations

  • Brief description

If urgent precautions are necessary to avert the danger of water, ice and mudslides, the neighboring municipalities are obliged to support the threatened municipality to the best of their ability and at their own expense.

  • Description

The neighboring municipalities must provide auxiliary personnel, materials, tools, equipment and vehicles as required.

Municipalities which experience has shown to be at risk of flooding or mudslides must ensure that a water hazard watch and relief service (water weir, dam weir, mudslide defense) is set up; they must provide the necessary resources for this purpose.
