Municipal roads, paths and squares; dedication
Brief description
A dedication is an order that gives a road the status of a public road.Description
When a road is newly built, it is always a private road in the legal sense. This applies regardless of the developer or the size of the road. The dedication allows anyone to use the road and assigns the road to a road class.
The dedication of municipal roads, paths and squares is decreed by the municipality and made public. The dedication can also stipulate that traffic areas are only to be used by the public to a limited extent (e.g. pedestrian or cyclist traffic).
