International school exchange; information on funding
Brief description
The student exchange is intended to strengthen international cooperation and communication in the school sector and to promote the foreign language, intercultural and social skills of the students.
Description
International school exchanges can be financially supported as part of a school partnership:
- Reimbursement of travel expenses for state teachers
- Funding from the Bavarian Youth Council if applicable (depending on the destination country and type of measure)
- Funding by the Bavarian Youth Exchange Foundation, if applicable
- Funding through the EU education program Erasmus+, if applicable
- Funding by the youth organizations, if applicable
- Districts and municipalities can grant a subsidy for visits by pupils as part of school partnerships. Information on the funding guidelines and the application form can be obtained from your local authority.
