Ban on feeding pigeons; adoption of an ordinance
Brief description
The municipalities may issue ordinances on the control of feral pigeons in order to prevent dangers to property and to protect public cleanliness, and in particular also prohibit the feeding of feral pigeons in these ordinances.Description
In particular, the regulations may stipulate that
- the feeding of feral pigeons is prohibited,
- the owners of properties, the authorized users and their representatives must tolerate measures taken by the municipality or its agents to remove nesting sites and scare away feral pigeons.
Violations of such a ban can be punished with a fine. Fines can be appealed against by means of an objection.
