The Naturenergie Leutershausen community wind project is taking shape. The goal is to shape the energy transition locally in an active and transparent manner, in collaboration with the community.
The city of Leutershausen has made a conscious decision to play an active role in shaping the areas designated under the Onshore Wind Energy Act. The focus is on the sustainable implementation of wind energy, early public participation, and maximizing regional economic benefits.
Together with the project developer Naturenergie Zeilinger GmbH, we would like to provide transparent information about the current status of the planning and outline the next steps for the community wind project.
That's what the community wind project is all about
The focus is on the planned wind turbines in the WK 207 Hinterholz Southwest area. Residents will receive information about the background and objectives of the project, the proposed locations, and the next steps in the project. In addition, opportunities for residents of Leutershausen to participate in the project will be presented.
The community wind project aims to combine three key objectives: sustainability, regional value creation, and community involvement. The use of renewable energy is intended to contribute to climate and environmental protection, while ensuring that as much economic value as possible remains in the region. Attractive investment opportunities are also designed to ensure that local residents can participate in the project’s development.

We cordially invite all interested residents to the informational event on September 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Alte Turnhalle in Leutershausen.
There, we will provide detailed information about the current status of planning, the proposed locations, the next steps, and the planned opportunities for public participation. At the same time, the event offers an opportunity to get first-hand information and learn more about the project’s future development.
