Mayor Markus Liebich welcomed the 32 eligible voters in attendance and expressed his delight at the high turnout. The election event was attended by all three mayors of the city of Leutershausen: First Mayor Markus Liebich, Second Mayor Michael Zimmermann, and Third Mayor Georgia Horndasch-Shaw.
Johannes Riegel was nominated by the assembly as the sole candidate. He received 31 of the 32 votes cast and was thus re-elected as the local representative for Eckartsweiler and Eichholz.
Johannes Riegel accepted the election and expressed his gratitude for the great trust placed in him. Mayor Markus Liebich warmly congratulated him on his reelection and thanked him for his willingness to continue serving in this responsible honorary position.
As a local representative, Johannes Riegel represents the interests of the districts of Eckartsweiler and Eichholz before municipal bodies. He attends city council meetings and brings motions and residents’ concerns to the discussions.
